Gideon Brotzman

ideon R. Brotzman, of state Route 29, Tunkhannock, died Saturday at his
home.



Born July 11, 1914, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Clarence and
Daisy (Kostenbauder) Brotzman.

He was a 1933 graduate of Laceyville High School.

He was a dairy farmer and a Nationwide Insurance agent.

He was a former trustee and Sunday school superintendent at the Transue
Church, and also attended the Springville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald; and stepsons, Dean,
Harland and Bruce Button.

Surviving are his wife, the former Louise Button; daughters, Harriet
Bartron, Tunkhannock; Elsie Hall, Sylvaria; stepdaughters, Nancy Gavik, Bonnie
McCain and Jackie Corby, all of Tunkhannock; and Debbie Kintner, Mehoopany;
stepson, Terry Brotzman, Coppell, Texas; brother, Elwood, Homestead, Fla.; 22
grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka
Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. James Shay of
the Springville Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
