Gilbert Man Convicted In 2013 Overdose Death Sentenced In Double

A Gilbert man convicted in the 2013 overdose death of his girlfriend is headed back to prison for 13 years involving the overdose deaths of two people.

Bryan Joseph Hodapp, 37, got his sentence Thursday in United States Dist. Court of Minneapolis for "conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine."

The sentencing stems from the 2022 overdose deaths of two men in Biwabik Township.

Investigators said Hodapp provided the lethal narcotics through a sale between one of the victims and a second suspect in this case from Minneapolis who was also sentenced Thursday for the crime.

Hodapp was sentenced in 2016 for third-degree murder after providing his 21-year-old girlfriend a synthetic drug that caused her death in 2013.
