Glamorous Sunrise nutritionist Sarah Di Lorenzo addresses rumours she's dating newly-single Mark Beretta - who became a sex symbol following split from wife

Sarah Di Lorenzo is baffled by rumours that she is dating her Sunrise co-star Mark Beretta .

The celebrity nutritionist, who frequently appears on the breakfast show, found herself caught up in chatter about her love life after the TV star ended his marriage.

'Mark and I are colleagues and friends and he's such a great guy – but I couldn't believe it' the single mum-of-three tells Stellar Magazine this week.

'It was ridiculous given that we've never even been for a coffee' she continued.

'I was shocked and completely disturbed that someone went out of their way to make something up'.

Working as Resident Nutritionist for Channel 7 Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise as well as being busy mother, Sarah says she is happily single.

'There's nothing sad about not dating. I love being a single mum and I'm very happy to spend the rest of my life alone' she said.

'I want to empower women to realise you don't need a partner to validate your life and find happiness'.

Mark has becoming of Sydney 's hottest new bachelors following his split from wife Rachel last year l after 22 years of marriage.

The sports reporter, 57, and and his former partner Rachel, who he married in 2001, confirmed they had quietly parted ways last year.

'At the start of the year, after a great deal of reflection and 22 years of marriage, Rach and I came to the conclusion that a separation was best for us,' Beretta told Daily Mail Australia through a Seven spokesperson.

'We remain good friends, and our two children and grandchild remain our focus and priority as we move forward with love, dignity, and respect.'

The couple, who met in 1999, share two children, daughter Ava, 19, and son Dan, 16.

There were signs of trouble leading up the split, with the pair placing their Mosman home on the market in February.

They eventually sold their Balmoral Slopes home in May for $13million.

They had to settle for less than their initial expectations of $15.5 million, slashing the listed price by $1.75 million.

Fans are now wondering who will win Mark's heart, with insiders previously claiming busty celebrity nutritionist Sarah could be a contender.
