Greece vs England predicted line-ups: Latest team news ahead of Nations League fixture
England face Greece in the Nations League on Thursday in what will be Lee Carsley 's penultimate fixture as interim boss.
Thereafter, Thomas Tuchel will be in place as the Three Lions' new head coach, tasked with leading the men's side toward the World Cup in 2026 – though he has not yet had any input into the squad, so it's a final chance for any to impress on the international stage before the new era begins.
While a strong squad was initially named by Carsley, injuries have hit hard with no fewer than eight withdrawals after the last bout of Premier League action.
Several players will be hoping to make their senior international debuts during the course of the international fortnight and some may think they have a chance of involvement right away against the Greeks - who won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Wembley in October.
Here's everything you need to know.
The clash takes place on Thursday 14 November with kick-off set for 7:45pm GMT.
Carsley has already seen several injuries mount up, with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, central midfielder Declan Rice and winger Bukayo Saka being the most notable ones from the usual first-choice lineup.
Phil Foden, Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer, Jack Grealish and backup goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale are also all out, meaning Jarrod Bowen and Jarrad Branthwaite were called up as cover along with the uncapped Morgan Rogers and Tino Livramento.
The latter pair join James Trafford, Lewis Hall, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Curtis Jones in hoping to earn a first cap.
Branthwaite missed training on Tuesday making him unlikely to feature in this first match,
England XI: Pickford; Walker, Konsa, Guehi, Lewis; Gallagher, Jones; Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane
