Consumers should check their refrigerators for recalled green onions that might be contaminated with Salmonella. On Oct. 18, Church Brother Farms voluntarily recalled 1,271 cases of green onions, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The FDA said the onions were sold in Canada and the U.S., including Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia. The recalled onions include:Church Brothers: Green Onions Iceless 4x2 pound Regular Church Brothers Mexico, lot code CB272378, sold in a clear bag with the product code located on the front of the bag.
