College football analyst Greg McElroy made his picks for all of Week 3's top matchups. Also including some crucial betting statistics and history for the teams, which can all be seen below.

Illinois at Nebraska (-9.5)

Friday night's Big Ten matchup features two ranked teams, with No. 22 Nebraska favored at home by 9.5 points against No. 24 Illinois. A game where McElroy favors the Cornhuskers, but did also mention that Nebraska has lost 24 straight games outright against ranked opponents and is 0-7 against the spread in their last 7 ranked games.

"I like Nebraska to get things taken care of, but I do think it's gonna be tough and then ultimately they pull away," McElroy said. "At this point I'm not 100% sold on Illinois' ability to run the football which is why I think their one-dimensional nature is gonna be difficult for them to get a lot of offense going against Nebraska."

NC State at Clemson (-20.5)

NC State has their back against the wall as they hit the road to take on Clemson as 20.5-point underdogs without starting quarterback Grayson McCall . A game that McElroy didn't make a pick on because he's broadcasting the matchup, but did share some betting trends for both teams.

"NC State is 0-3 against the spread this season with an average -53.5 cover margin, that's the second worst among Power Four teams. Only Florida State is worse. Clemson is 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games against ACC teams, but Clemson 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games coming off 10 plus days rest," McElroy said.

USC at Michigan

The Trojans are 5.5 point favorites as they head into The Big House this weekend, the first time Michigan has been a home underdog twice in one season since 2010. As quarterback Alex Orji will get his first career start for the Wolverines in game McElroy thinks they're outmatched in.

"I'm taking USC in the game," McElroy said. "As of this moment I think Michigan's offense is going to be too one-dimensional ... I think SC has too many weapons and will exploit a secondary that has been inconsistent this year."

Utah (-2) at Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State is 5-0 against the spread as a home underdog since 2002, the best record in the FBS over that span. Which helps give McElroy the confidence to pick the Cowboys over Utah this weekend in Stillwater.

"I am taking Oklahoma State in the game. I think they're veteran, I think this is their year, so much has been made about Utah coming into the Big 12 and just imposing their will, dominating the game. I don't see it that way ... I'm taking the Pokes at home to handle their business."

Tennessee (-7) at Oklahoma

One of the most exciting matchups of the weekend takes place in Norman where No. 6 Tennessee visits No. 15 for their SEC opener. Where the Sooners are a home underdog of at least a touchdown for the first time since 1998.
