Gridley farm ranks No. 5 for Angus registrations
GRIDLEY — The American Angus Association announced Prairie View Farms in Gridley was named the fifth largest out of the top 10 in registering the most Angus beef cattle in Illinois.
This achievement was made during fiscal year 2024, which ended Sept. 30.
In 2024, Angus breeders across the country registered 302,716 head of Angus cattle, according to a news release.
The American Angus Association is the nation's largest beef breed organization, serving nearly 22,000 members in the United States, Canada and more. The organization provides programs and services to farmers, ranchers and others who rely on Angus to produce quality genetics for the beef industry and quality beef for consumers, the news release said.
