Gun-wielding York man charged after alleged threats leads to hours-long standoff: PSP
A York man has been arrested after an altercation involving a handgun led to an hours long standoff with police, officials report.
Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute on the 10 block of Eisenhart Mill Road around 8:20a.m.
Authorities on scene spoke with the victim who stated that during an altercation with Brian Price, 43, he allegedly pulled out a gun and made threats toward her. Police documents state that the victim then ran from the residence.
State Troopers then established a perimeter around the area and attempted to get Price to exit the home for several hours. Price was then arrested without incident by Pennsylvania State Police.
Investigators discovered that due to a prior felony conviction, Price was not permitted to own a handgun. He has been charged gun possession, terroristic threats and simple assault.
Price awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov. 22.
