Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Reminders In Toms River
If you're a newer arrival to the area, you can expect to see children out and about Wednesday night in Toms River and some of the neighboring towns, including Beachwood, Pine Beach and South Toms River, which all are part of the Toms River Regional School District.
The departure from standard Halloween trick-or-treating is due to the annual Toms River Fire Company 1 Halloween Parade, which draws thousands of participants and spectators to downtown Toms River each year.
Participants include Scout troops, youth sports teams, dance studios and the marching bands from all three Toms River Regional high schools and the three intermediate schools.
There are no set times for trick-or-treating, but kids are generally urged to be off the streets by 9 p.m.
