An 80-year-old Harrisburg woman died after a Wednesday evening crash in Dauphin County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the crash happened around 6:22 p.m. on Allentown Boulevard near South Oak Grove Road in West Hanover Township.

The woman was driving a Kia Sportage north on Oak Grove Road after she stopped at a stop sign, police said. The woman then drove onto Allentown Boulevard without proper clearance, police said, causing a 54-year-old man driving a Ford Expedition to hit her.

Police said the man was traveling east on Allentown Boulevard in the right lane before the crash happened.

The Kia came to a final rest in a grassy area on the westbound side of Allentown Boulevard, police said. The vehicle rear driver's side door, fender, bumper, and wheel were damaged.

Police said the woman was taken to the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

The man, who is from Grantville, was not injured, police said.

No charges have been filed.
