HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Hartselle Police Department arrested a 50-year-old man on Thursday after finding a magnetic GPS tracking device on a woman's car.

A woman contacted the police department about harassing communications and told the officer she believed she was being followed, police said.

The police department said that one of their officers thought to check the woman's vehicle after having dealt with cases like this in the past. Police found a magnetic GPS tracking device attached to the undercarriage of the victim's vehicle.

Following an investigation, HPD was able to find evidence that the device belonged to Brannon Roy Bray, of Hartselle. They said that further evidence was found to show that he had surveilled, stalked and harassed the woman.

HPD said Bray was charged with first-degree electronic stalking. He was held at the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond before being released.
