The 2024 season has come to an end for the University of Hawaii soccer team after a 3-0 loss to Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday night at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.

Playing in its first-ever conference tournament match at home, the Rainbow Wahine were eliminated and are still looking for their first conference tournament win.

Hawaii's season ends at 12-8-1, while Cal State Bakersfield (8-10-4) advances to the championship against UC Santa Barbara, which won the first semifinal 3-2 over UC Davis in double overtime on a penalty kick.

After winning the Big West regular season and hosting rights for the conference tournament , Hawaii's efforts to play in the program's only NCAA Tournament since 2007 came up short.

Anela Nigito got CSUB on the board with a penalty kick in the 26th minute, while Cynthia Ramirez doubled its lead in the 63rd minute. Three minutes later, Megan Ormson delivered the ultimate stunner off a corner kick.
