Chief Elections Officer, Scott Nago, said the long lines, specifically at Kapolei Hale pushed the first printout to midnight and as of 7 a.m. they were counting the second to last batch.

As to the lines, Nago said there was discussion about having more than two centers but they didnʻt want to stretch their resources too thin so they kept it to the two–Honolulu and Kapolei Hale.

The last batch will consist of ballots picked up at 7 p.m. at the ballot collection boxes.

The final report is expected in the late afternoon or early evening.
