Hear the history of Sinterklaas and other Netherlands traditions at ‘Koffie Kletz’

HOLLAND, MI - As the holiday season revs up, Holland is bringing its Dutch culture to the forefront with coffee chat-style presentations at Windmill Island Gardens. The monthly 'Koffie Kletz' series is returning this weekend with a Holidays in the Netherlands session 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Posthouse at Windmill Island Garden. Organizers from the Tulip Time Festival will share details about holidays in the Netherlands, history of Sinterklaas, and more. The event is free but a donation of $5 is suggested and online registration is encouraged. Holland's holiday calendar is already filling out. See what's coming up in the Lakeshore town. Kerstmarkt on Fridays and Saturdays from Nov. 23 to Dec. 21. Sinterklaas Shuffle on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7. Magic at the Mill Friday and Saturdays starting Dec. 6 running through Saturday, Dec. 21.
