Hearing set for November 25 after objection to monitoring Erica's shooter
An update on a story we've been following on Erica Torres, the woman who police say was shot by her husband back in June.
We spoke with Erica's mother, Edith Terrazas, and she said that she believes that Erica's former husband Billy Delgado is most likely here in San Antonio free on bond with no conditions that would keep him a safe distance from her daughter.
Erica remains hospitalized at university health here in San Antonio where she's been for the past five months, ever since June after police say her ex shot her over a dozen times as she picked up her daughter at his home in Laredo.
He was recently released on bond without GPS monitoring. We did speak with the District Attorney's office in Webb County. They said they've filed a motion, requesting that Delgado be on GPS monitoring, have a curfew and be tested randomly for drugs twice a month.
However, Delgado's attorney filed an objection to the motion and there is now a hearing set for November 25th.
The motion does not state that he has to be in Webb County if it's approved, but they would have his location at all times.
Erica's family did set up a GoFundMe for her and that information can be found .
