Heintz Helps Dallas Dig Into Nanticoke
NANTICOKE—Theresa Heintz had 16 kills, 10 service points and 10 digs to lead Dallas to a 3-0 Wyoming Valley Conference victory over Greater Nanticoke Area on Friday. The scores were 20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18.
Vicki Piontkowski notched 12 service points, 28 assists and nine digs for the Mountaineers. Sarah Flannery added 12 kills and seven blocks, while Shauna Phillips had seven kills, four blocks and service points.
Sarah Acker led the Trojans with 35 kills, five blocks and seven digs. Morgan Thomas pitched in with 34 assists. Nanticoke was without Aly Byorick and Amy Robacheski, who were sidelined with injuries.
Hanover Area 3, North Pocono 0
Kelly Evans had 17 digs, 11 service points and four kills to lead the Hawkeyes’ sweep (25-11, 25-19, 25-16).
Lindsay Bailey had eight assists and nine digs, while Kristy LaBar added 12 service points, 10 digs and three kills.
Berwick 3, Wyoming Valley West 1
Kim Gerlach had seven points and 20 assists to lead Berwick in its 8-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-17 victory.
Isla Wilczynski (six kills and two blocks) and Latonya Kocher (10 points and six kills) also scored for the Lady Bulldogs.
Kim Kulick (12 service points, four aces, four kills, 14 digs and 23 assists) topped Wyoming Valley West, followed by Mary Kasenchak (six kills, four blocks and six digs) and Erin Klucitas (eight kills, three blocks and nine digs).
Hanover 3, North Pocono 0
Kelly Evans had 17 digs, 11 service points and four kills to lead Hanover in a three-game sweep, 25-11, 25-19, 25-16.
Lindsay Bailey (nine service points, eight assists and 27 digs) and Kristy Labar (12 service points, 10 digs and three kills) also chipped in for the Lady Mohawks.
Alex Zero led North Pocono with eight service points and 10 assists.
Crestwood 3, Pittston Area 0
Jade Dudley had 16 kills, one block and three service points to lead the Comets past the Patriots by scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-12. Jessica Kehl added six kills.
Christie Williams pitched in with five service points, while Heather White had 10 digs for Crestwood.
Hazleton Area 3, Bishop O’Reilly 0
The Cougars won by scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-19. Erica Krakosky led Bishop O’Reilly with five kills, five blocks and eight digs. Megan Kazmerski added five kills, four blocks and 10 digs.
Bishop Hoban 3, GAR 0
Allie Downing had 11 kills and six service points to lead the unbeaten Argents to victory over the Grenadiers by scores of 25-3, 25-22, 25-11.
Sarah Vidumsky added six kills, seven service points and 18 assists, while Maggie McCormick ahd five kills, 16 service points and 13 assists. Sarah Rogers pitched in with four kills and five service points.
