elen (Esack) Komnath, 95, of Marcy Street, Wilkes-Barre Township, died
Tuesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.



Born in Rusika Kucsavi, Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late
Charles and Mary (Janca) Esack. She was a member of St. John the Baptist
Byzantine Catholic Church, Church Street, Wilkes-Barre Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, Sr.; and sons, George,
Jr., and Theodore.

Surviving are her sons, Michael and Robert, both of Wilkes-Barre Township;
Joseph, Wilkes-Barre; John, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Edward and William, both of
Macungie; and Richard, New York City; daughters, Mary Feher and Ellen Petyo,
both of Wilkes-Barre; Leona Kuehner, Sweetwater, N.J.; and JoAnn Uibelhoer,
Lodi, N.J.; 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Ann;
and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.



Funeral services with Panachida will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the John V.
Morris-Charles J. Leagus Funeral Home, 281 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre,
with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic
Church. The Rev. James E. Badeaux, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be
in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas. Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Badeaux
officiating. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Byzantine
Catholic Church, 526 Church St., Wilkes-Barre Township, 18702.
