Local Business Beat At the time of that reporting, an employee at the former Friendly's restaurant shared that the property had been purchased, which is what led to the closure of the family-friendly establishment.

Since then it has been up in the air what the former restaurant would become, but earlier this morning we got our answer!

According to Campbell Commercial Real Estate, the 4,400-square-foot former Friendly's restaurant has been leased to the Turning Point restaurant, which is most known for offering its award-winning breakfast, brunch, and lunch options.

The new Turning Point restaurant will become the first to open in Cumberland County and is slated to debut in the summer of 2025.

Once open, this location will become the second Turning Point restaurant to open its doors in the Midstate this year. Back in October, another Turning Point restaurant opened its doors on 100 Rohrerstown Road in Lancaster County.

According to Turning Point's website, the franchise opened its first restaurant back in 1998 in Little Silver, New Jersey.
