Here's how to follow reporters covering second week of 2024 playoff games for L-L League football teams

The second week of the District 3 playoffs has arrived. While the opening slate of games turned out to be mostly blowouts, there are sure to be more competitive matchups in store this time around.

Of course, the biggest game of the week is the Class 2A District 3 championship at Donegal, featuring No. 2 Lancaster Catholic facing off against top-seeded Steelton-Highspire, who boasts four consecutive Class 1A district titles as well as three of the last four state 1A titles before the Rollers moved up a class this season.

Two Berks County teams are in the Class 3A District 3 semifinals as well. No. 5 Berks Catholic is riding a long winning streak after some early season struggles and now has the chance to knock off top-seeded Bermudian Springs. Meanwhile, No. 3 Schuylkill Valley will battle No. 2 Trinity in what looks like a dead-even tilt.

Rounding out the rest of the schedule: two undefeated Class 5A teams will open district play as Conestoga Valley plays Shippensburg and Conrad Weiser draws perennial favorite Bishop McDevitt; two-time defending Class 5A champ Cocalico looks to move toward a third against unbeaten Mechanicsburg; Exeter goes up against Class 5A top-seed New Oxford; Class 6A No. 1 Manheim Township looks to beat Cumberland Valley in districts for the third year in a row; Twin Valley matches up against Susquehanna Township in Class 4A; and Wyomissing finishes up the week with a Saturday Class 4A game vs. East Penn.
