High school football rankings Week 15, 2023: Bay Area News Group Top 25
The high school football season is down to just two more weeks.
More than two-thirds of the teams in this week’s rankings have put away their uniforms until next season.
For the few still playing, there is a lot on the line — regional championship games this weekend, possibly state championship games a week later.
The only significant change this week was Los Gatos, which moved up two spots to No. 5 after knocking out league Wilcox with a first half for the ages in the Central Coast Section Division I championship game Friday at San Jose City College.
El Cerrito, which had a narrow win over Windsor in the North Coast Section Division II final, is now sixth, followed by McClymonds.
Los Gatos will play host to El Cerrito in a regional on Saturday.
