HIGHLIGHTS: Belles defeat Patriots in straight sets, finish regular season second in LSC Standings

Belles volleyball seniors shined in their regular season finale. ASU fans packed Stephens Arena at the Junell Center on Saturday afternoon to watch their team close the regular season in style on senior day.

ASU carried a 12-match winning streak into its final regular season match, also seeking its third straight sweep following its 3-0 win over Dallas Baptist the previous night.

Seniors Adeline Ortman, Evelyn Torres and Caleigh Enax each had tremendous outings. Ortman recorded 33 assists and two aces, Torres had 11 kills (second behind Madi Parrish's 16), and Enax had 17 digs.

The Belles and Patriots dueled in the first set. These teams were tied at 16 apiece until ASU broke through with a 25-21 win. The Belles claimed the next two sets, winning by similar deficits of 25-20 and 25-22.

Angelo State finishes its season on a 13-match winning streak, going 15-1 in Lone Star Conference play and earning a 25-2 overall record. With Saturday's win, ASU clinches the two-seed in the upcoming LSC Tournament, which will be hosted by the regular season champion West Texas A&M Lady Buffs (16-0 in LSC) in Canyon, Texas.

ASU begins its LSC title quest on Thursday versus the Oklahoma Christian Eagles.
