(WBRE/WYOU) — A demolition in Downtown Wilkes-Barre is making way for new renovations in the city. A crew took down the historic Engel Building Wednesday morning on South Main and East Northampton Streets. The demolition caused some lane closures at the intersection and was done in a matter of hours. It now clears the way for a mid-rise apartment building with commercial space on the ground floor in the Diamond City.
