Hoban football vs. Central York: Knights cruise to 41-7 victory out of state

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Archbishop Hoban defeated Central York, 41-7, at York Panther Stadium on Friday night in Pennsylvania.

Hoban, ranked fourth in the cleveland.com high school football Top 25, controlled the contest from the first quarter.

Hoban opened the scoring on Rock Hill's 27-yard rushing touchdown. In the second quarter Brayton Feister increased the lead with a 4-yard scoring run. The Knights added a field goal and led 17-0 at the half.

The Hoban defense forced Central York to punt on the opening drive of the second half, and Tylan Boykin returned it for a touchdown. The Hoban defense forced turnovers on the next two Central York possessions. The first led to a field goal and the second set up Le'neer Folk's 15-yard touchdown on the very next play. Folk added a 25-yard scoring run on the Knights' next possession. Hoban led 41-0 after three quarters.

Central York (7-2) scored in the fourth quarter after the defense forced a fumble and Tyler Frey recovered it in the end zone.

Hoban (7-2) entered the game seeded third in Division II, Region 5, and already clinched a playoff berth.

Hoban will finish out the regular season at St. Edward on Oct. 26.
