House District 57: Julie Jarvis Keeps Seat For Republicans With Big Win

Casper Republican Julie Jarvis on Tuesday easily defeated independent write-in candidate Tyler Cessor to claim the House District 57 race.

Unofficial results show Jarvis beating Cessor, a development director for the Wyoming Outdoor Council, 2,404 votes (92%) to 200 votes (8%).

Jarvis earned the right to be on the November ballot by defeating incumbent Rep. Jeannette Ward in a hotly contested primary race by a 623 to 485 vote margin.

The director of Teaching and Learning in the Natrona County School District, Jarvis campaigned on parents' rights regarding their children's education, and "the smallest government possible without compromising the healthcare, safety, and the working people."
