House Valued At $3M On Delray Beach Burning, Ocean Blvd. Closed

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An ocean-front home in Delray Beach is burning Wednesday morning. Delray Beach Rescue has been on the scene since 10 a.m.. Delray Beach spokesperson Ted White shared these details with BocaNewsNow.com:
"The call came in at 10 a.m. today. Delray Beach Fire Rescue is on scene of a residential structure fire at the intersection of Nassau Street and South Ocean Boulevard (1190 Nassau Street). Upon arrival, heavy smoke was seen coming from inside a 3-story home that is under renovation. South Ocean Boulevard is closed from Ocean Terrace to Casuarina Road. Please avoid the area and plan alternate routes. There were no injuries."
The home, according to public records, is a three floor townhouse-style residence. It appears to look out to the ocean. The "improvement" value, according to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser, is $3,556,580. It was purchased in 2013 for $2.1M.
The house is 3203 feet "under air" and 3944 feet in total. It has a pool and sits on one tenth of an acre. We'll update if there are notable updates provided by the Delray Beach Fire Department.
