How the Clark County hotline is helping voters from signature curing to mail ballots

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - From where to vote, to questions about a signature that doesn't match signatures on file, or a voter who didn't sign their mail-in ballot return envelope.

These are some of the things you can ask someone standing by at Clark County's hotline : 702-455-VOTE (8683).

ELECTION DAY 2024: What Nevadans need to know

FOX5 has learned the election phone line helped one woman cure her signature, after it didn't match other signatures on file. Typically, someone's voter signature is compared to their driver's license signature.

FOX5 learned from a call representative that a computer system that shows a person's vote status, may not be immediately updated after a signature is confirmed by an election employee.

FOX5 was also told by a phone representative there are 1,000 people knocking on doors to tell people there's an issue with their signature.

Many voters have not included a good phone number or email in their registration information, which would make it easier for election workers to contact them about a ballot issue.

A phone representative told FOX5 the 702-455-VOTE (8683) line is open on Election Day from 6:30am-7pm. It will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30am-5:30pm.
