This might seem like a cakewalk for the Fighting Irish. However, it was just two weeks ago when another Mid-American program came into Notre Dame Stadium, and stole a win from the home side.

Yet, Notre Dame responded well to their stunning loss to Northern Illinois. On the road against Big Ten opponent Purdue, the Irish walloped the Boilermakers, 66-7. Now, that does not necessarily catapult Notre Dame back into the College Football Playoff conversation where the were in the preseason, but it is a step in the right direction for a team that has to basically win most if not all of their remaining games to have chance.

The RedHawks have been a consistent .500 football team for the last several years, but they have made it to he bowl season in three of the last four years. They are still looking for their first win of the season, as there offense has struggled against Power 4 opponents Northwestern and Cincinnati to begin the year. Yet, even with the possibility of Notre Dame taking them lightly, it will be tough for Miami to give the MAC another notable win this week.

Notre Dame has beaten Miami in its two meetings on the gridiron in 1909 and 2017.
