Both teams started the season by losing their first two games of the season, though they have had different responses.

The Ravens lost a couple of hard-fought games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. However, their offense responded with a strong effort in their win over the Dallas Cowboys. Then, last Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore hammered the Bills for 35 points, pulling out a rout in a primetime victory. It was the first game that the Ravens played that was not decided by one score. If Baltimore can get rolling, watch out.

It took a while for the Bengals' offense to get going, scoring just 42 points in losses to the New England Patriots and Chiefs. Even when their offense started to click on a Monday Night Football matchup with the Washington Commanders in Week 3, Cincinnati still lost. They finally picked up their first win of the season last Sunday when they outlasted the surprisingly tough Carolina Panthers. The Bengals still have a long way to go to get back to being the force that many have grown to expect in previous years.

The Ravens are 30-27 against the Bengals, including sweeping Cincinnati last season.
