INGLEWOOD, CA - The best team in the AFC looks to keep its standing on Sunday Night Football, as the Baltimore Ravens pay a visit to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Baltimore Ravens (8-3) vs. Los Angeles Charges (4-6)

Thanks to some floundering play by the Kansas City Chiefs, the Ravens have worked their way to first place in the conference. After pounding the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football 10 days ago, Baltimore has won five of its last six games, scoring 30 or more points in their last five games. While teams like the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have shown offensive shortcomings, it has been hard to stop the Ravens’ attack. They might subside a little bit, as start tight end Mark Andrews suffered an ankle injury against the Bengals that might keep him out for the rest of the season.

Baltimore is a half-game ahead of the Chiefs, while they lead the Cleveland Browns in the North by a half-game as well.

The Chargers have been playing well below expectations this season. Though they have shown flashes of great play, they have not been able to get the job done. Whether it be because Justin Herbert and company are not efficient on offense, or the defense cannot get a stop, Los Angeles has had back luck throughout 2023. Following a 23-20 loss to the wallowing Green Bay Packers, the Chargers have lost back-to-back games, and are at the bottom of the West.

They come into Sunday two games back of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans for the final playoff spots in the AFC.

The Ravens have won eight of the 14 meetings with the Chargers, including a 34-6 pounding of L.A. in the last encounter two seasons ago.
