  • The Trojans suffered a hit to their College Football Playoff hopes a couple of weeks ago when they lost to Michigan in their first Big Ten game ever. Then, last Saturday at home against Wisconsin, USC got off to a slow start, but Miller Moss and company were able to right the ship with a solid second, picking up a 38-21 win, their first since joining the B1G. USC has plenty of tough games coming up, including a tough matchup with Penn State. However, that does not mean they can overlook this week's opponent.

Especially since Minnesota comes into this week still hot after a controversial penalty cost them a chance to take down the Wolverines last week, Max Brosmer and company nearly erased a three-score deficit at The Big House this past Saturday, showing that PJ Fleck's team has plenty of fight in them. However, that fight has only taken them so far in the past, especially in conference play. The fact of the matter is Minnesota has dropped its first two Big Ten games of the season, and has not beaten a Power 4 school this season.

USC is 6-1-1 against Minnesota, including winning the last meeting 13 years ago in Los Angeles.

    MY PICK: USC wins, 38-21
