Minden vs. Gothenburg

Minden, the defending Class C1 champion, takes a 34-1 record into the state tournament, but that lone loss is to Gothenburg. The Swedes (23-10) have closed with a rush, beating Kearney Catholic in the subdistrict final and No. 2-ranked Clarkson-Leigh in the district final.

Kearney Catholic (24-6), last year's Class C1 state runner-up, returns to the state tournament for the fifth straight year. The Stars are the fourth seed and under the direction of first-year head coach Robbie Jochum. Battle Creek (24-9), the fifth seed, has lost three of its last five matches and is playing in the state tournament for the first time since 2019.

Wynot (21-9) was third at last year's state tournament and, in basketball, lost to Overton in the state championship game.
