I found a bizarre item hidden in my high-end hotel room bed after staying in Sydney for the Coldplay concert: 'The manager was mortified'

A guest of a very well-known hotel chain has been left in hysterics after finding a packet of 'illegal, Indian Viagra' slipped between her bedsheets.

Speaking to FEMAIL the woman said she was crawling into bed at 1am with her husband, after going to the Coldplay concert in Sydney , when she found the little blue pills.

'It wasn't exactly the chocolate you would expect to find at a fancy hotel,' she laughed, adding she's glad she and her husband didn't mistake them for after-dinner mints.

The Super Kamagra tablets are illegal in the UK and Australia but a popular product elsewhere.

According to the packet the drug is the 'first in the world' to combat both erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.

'As funny as it was at the time it isn't a good thing to happen when you expect a clean bed,' she said.

'It even had the instruction pamphlet.'

She elected not to name and shame the hotel, who compensated her following the discovery of the little blue pills.

'I went to ask the reception on our way to breakfast if it was normal practice to try and make a night away more pleasant,' she laughed.

'The look on their faces were priceless when I handed them over. They had no words or explanation, hilarious.'

Then management were quick to intervene.

'They were very horrified by the situation and very apologetic about it,' she said.

The woman said at first she thought the beds had just been made - and not thoroughly cleaned before their arrival - but added the bed was spotless apart from the four-pack of pills.

A manager emailed the woman to thank her for 'finding the humour' in the situation and to address the matter.

'I spoke to the housekeeping manager to find out how this happened. My understanding is that although the suite was occupied previously that bedroom was not used,' they wrote.

'Our housekeepers do thorough inspections to confirm if a room has been cleaned or not as proper cleaning protocols apply.

'...my educated guess is that the previous guest slipped the items in the unused bed either to be funny or malicious.

'This has raised a serious concern and we have immediately made adjustments to our procedures to ensure it doesn't happen again.'

The woman, who was sharing a three-bedroom suite with her parents and adult daughter said she 'walked out of the room to ask her parents if they got some too'.

Unsurprisingly, she and her husband didn't use the pills but will continue to laugh about the experience for many years.
