VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Economic Development Corporation held their quarterly board meeting at Vincennes University to announce a record number of committed capital investment.

Secretary of Commerce at the IEDC says this year has already surpassed last year.

These projects help create jobs and increase wages for Indiana residents.

According to the IEDC, since 2005, jobs that it has created have seen an increase of pay of almost $20 per hour.

Vincennes University President Chuck Johnson says this helps prepare future workers as well.

Governor Holcomb says the state of Indiana has become the best place for investment.

The governor has many Knox County roots and says it was great to be back at Vincennes University.
