Ignite Church partners with local agencies to collect goods for victims of Hurricane Helene
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Signs for donation drop-off sites to help those affected by Hurricane Helene have been all over Greenville, including at Ignite Church.
Ignite Church is trying its best to be a donation hub for members of the Greenville community as it partners with Greenville Fire and Rescue, as well as, Greenville Police. The church is collecting supplies such as cases of water, non-perishable food items and more stationary goods.
"What did you see in the people of Greenville as you see a people that know what it's like to be in the shoes of our friends in the Western part of the state," Ignite Executive Pastor of Communications Stephen Dupre said. "And, so we know that they need help and they need it now and they, what they need now is probably not what they're going to need in a couple of days and so we're here to support them for the long haul."
If you want to help out with donation efforts, the drive will continue throughout the week and however long is needed until the victims of Helene are accounted for.
You can drop off supplies at the church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
