Improvements coming to busy Joplin intersection
JOPLIN, Mo. — One of Joplin's busiest intersections is getting an overhaul.
That includes changes to the intersection itself, as well as 15th Street to the east.
A two-block section will see new sidewalks and stormwater drainage and will be redesigned for the growing traffic load.

"Pretty steep immediately when you leave Range Line and head east. So that will all be smoothed out. We'll also be adding that right-turn lane. The signals will be improved," said Dan Johnson, Joplin Public Works Director.
Construction is expected to start next spring and take six to seven months to complete.
