Injuries in Georgetown Township crash, deputies say

ich. (WOOD) — People were injured in a crash in Georgetown Township on Sunday, deputies said.

The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Fillmore Street. A 2019 Jeep Cherokee was headed south on 48th Street and tried to turn east onto Fillmore when it crashed into a northbound Chevrolet Silverado truck, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

The Jeep's passenger and both people in the truck were injured and taken to the hospital, deputies said.

The driver of the Jeep was cited for not yielding to the Silverado's right of way, according to the sheriff's office.
