Police are continuing their investigations after human remains were discovered in a field on the outskirts of Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police were called to Lyde Green just before midday on Wednesday 6 November. The force said it is not aware of any suspicious circumstances and that a forensic-post mortem examination is taking place to determine the cause of death. A police spokesperson said: "While the circumstances remain unexplained pending those results, we'd like to reassure the public we are not aware of there being anything suspicious at this time." "Forensic work to identify the remains is ongoing and is expected to take at least several days to be completed," they explained. "A police cordon was put in place last week but was stood down on Friday, although some work is still being carried out in the area by our specialist search team."
