Interfaith Los Alamos Updates List Of Locations To Drop Off Coats For Refugees Through Nov. 24
Interfaith Los Alamos has updated the list of locations to drop off coats for refugees. Boxes are available at the following locations:
Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church
White Rock Methodist Church
White Rock Presbyterian Church
Crossroads Bible Church
Gift cards can be dropped off to the church office in each church.
After World War II, many countries — including the United States — participated in agreements to offer asylum to people – such as the Jews in Europe who had six million killed in camps — who faced torture or death in their home countries and whom we failed to help in the past.
The refugees we are helping are those kind of refugees or asylees who have legal status to stay here. Lutheran Family Services has been working with resettlement of these refugees for decades.
In these times, we are very grateful for your willingness to help out such a suffering population that has been through a great deal to get to this stage. LFS has an excellent record of helping these folks become successful members of society.
