Interventional cardiologist joins Conemaugh system
Dr. Muhammad Hamza Saad Shaukat has joined Conemaugh Physician Group – Cardiology.
Shaukat is a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist who brings advanced expertise in cardiovascular care to the practice, according to a press release.
He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of South Dakota, where he also served as a clinical instructor in internal medicine.
Shaukat received specialized training in interventional cardiology at the Minneapolis Heart Institute at Abbott Northwestern Hospital/Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Shaukat was honored as the Graduating Resident Teacher of the Year in 2020 during his residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
His academic achievements began at Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, where he earned bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees in 2015, having graduated at the top of his class.
