Today at 14:30 Ireland’s Ambassador to Israel has expressed ‘surprise’ at the reaction to a tweet made by Leo Varadkar after the release of Emily Hand (9) by Hamas at the weekend.

Sonya McGuinness was summoned from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to be reprimanded by the Israeli foreign ministry.
