Is Bryson DeChambeau-Led Crushers G.C the Richest LIV Golf Team in History?

2024 seems like a good year for Crushers GC. Why, you ask? Well, the Bryson DeChambeau -led team has, till now, raked in three wins as well as four podium finishes this season while topping the leaderboard. They sure have set themselves up for a good start at the Team Championship that crowns the best team for the circuit. But was it all they achieved? Glory and whatnot! Or, did they garner more money than every other team over the years while at it?

The simple answer would be a 'Yes'. But to explain how we got there, you need to take a detailed look at each year and find out how much the squad has won in the three seasons. 2022 witnessed the DeChambeau-led team clinch a total of four podium finishes, out of which three were T2 placements while they tied for 3rd at Jeddah with 4Aces GC. Moreover, the squad also clinched a semifinal place at the Team Championship in Miami.

This brings their total earnings in the inaugural season to a remarkable $7,750,000. Impressed? Well, don't be, for the numbers will only increase from now on. And suffice it to say, they did break their own record the following year in 2023 when Bryson DeChambeau led his team to a scintillating victory in Miami.

2023 saw Anirban Lahiri, Charles Howell III, Paul Casey, and the 'Scientist' finish six times inside the top 10, out of which they won, finished second, and third, a total of two times each. This, coupled with the $14 million prize for the Chicago event, brings their total earnings that year to a whopping $24 million. Still wasn't enough to call them the richest LIV Golf team back then, since the title had gone to 4Aces GC .

Fast forward to 2024. 'A good year' they had and that, in all accounts, we agree on! But how much did they garner? Three victories, three T2 finishes, and a single T3 placement, interestingly so, bring the figures to $14,000,000 ahead of the Team Championship in Dallas. All these three seasons, up to the 2023 Chicago event bring their total to $45,750,000, a bit more than what 4Aces GC boasts!

The difference in earnings between 4Aces GC and Bryson DeChambeau's team The Dustin Johnson -led squad had, back in 2022, won a total of five times including the Team Championship in Miami alongside a T3 finish. This increased their total money earned to a mind boggling sum of $28,250,000. However, come 2023, the team raked in two wins, three runner-up placements, and two T3, alongside a $4 million semifinal finish at Miami. Their total earnings for 2023 – a remarkable figure of $15.5 million

Coming back to the present, Johnson's squad only boasts a single T2 finish that too in Las Vegas at the start of the season. Add that to the dollar bills from the past two seasons and you get $45.25 million. Well, the 4Aces GC sure need to remain on their toes if they are to beat Bryson DeChambeau's team, in case of money or otherwise!
