The talking finally stops tonight as Mike Tyson makes his return to the boxing ring to fight Jake Paul in Dallas. It is nearly 20 years since 'Iron Mike' last fought as a professional, when he retired on his stool against Kevin McBride, but at the age of 58 he will once again lace up the gloves and step between the rings.

His age makes this a controversial event, particularly when considering this bout was supposed to take place in July before it was postponed. Tyson suffered a medical emergency on a flight, caused by an ulcer flare-up, which left him hospitalised and fearing for his life. However, both have passed medicals and will play their part in this professionally sanctioned fight, scheduled for eight two-minute rounds. Knockouts are allowed.

On the undercard, Katie Taylor rematches Amanda Serrano in what is a fight deserving of the attention being given to the main event. Taylor beat Serrano in a thrilling bout in 2022, and they now do battle for a second time with the women's undisputed light-welterweight crown on the line.
