James Gillespie Jr.

James F. Gillespie Jr., 76, of Larksville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2007, in Hospice Care of VNA Inpatient Unit at the Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late James and Catherine McAnemy Gillespie, and was a 1961 graduate St. Mary’s High School, Wilkes-Barre. James was formerly employed by United Penn, in the Mortgage Department, for 16 years and later as an escort at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for 15 years. Mr. Gillespie was a member of St. Hedwig’s Church, Kingston.
He and his beloved wife, the former Lorraine Sauruk, celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on July 11.
He is the loving father of James J. Gillespie, Larksville; the proud grandfather of Mykala, Gabriel and Tyler; and the dear brother of Catherine Arietta, Allentown, and Nancy Kutch, Fairless Hills. Two nieces and one nephew also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave.e, Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Church. Interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Larksville.
