anice E. Miller, 54, of the Drums section of Butler Township, died Saturday
at her residence.



Born Jan. 28, 1947 in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late James R.
and Jeannette (Grogan) Jones. She was a graduate of Oak Park School of
Nursing, Oak Park, Ill. She worked at the Berwick Hospital, Berwick, and
previously worked for the Veterans Administration at the Department of
Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township, and the VA hospital in Ann
Arbor, Mich. She specialized in geriatric nursing. She was a member of the
Episcopal faith and active in the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals, Plains Township and Wilkes-Barre, and the Valley Cat Rescue,
Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving is her sister, Barbara J. Jones, Ann Arbor.



The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Christ Church,
Barnesville, with the Rev. Janet Kline officiating. Interment will be in Sky
View Memorial Park, Hometown. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at
the church. Memorial donations may be made to Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals of Plains Township or Wilkes-Barre; or to the Valley Cat
Rescue, Wilkes-Barre. Arrangements are by the Lamar Christ Funeral Home,
Hometown.
