JCC’s Athlete of the Week ending Oct. 27

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Jefferson Community College's Athlete of the Week for the Week Ending Oct. 27, 2024, Sophomore forward, Cameron S. Winebar, of the hockey team.

JCC's Athlete of the Week ending Oct. 20

Winebar, a 2023 graduate of New Hanover High School in Wilmington, NC, is majoring in Computer Information Systems.

Winebar netted his 14th goal of the season in a tightly contested 4-2 match against Niagara University.

As JCC Hockey's captain, Cameron also represents the team in the community. He and his teammates volunteered at Haldane Arena, guiding a two-hour open skate and serving as ice monitors, concession workers and facilities staff.

Winebar is a statistical leader with a current record of 14 goals and 9 assist for a total of 23 points including two hat tricks consequently placing Winebar as one of the Top 10 scorers in the country for all of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) College Hockey.

The Cannoneers' next game will be hockey on Friday, Nov. 8 against Gannon University at JCC.
