Jennie Stefanelli, 88, of West Pittston, died March 15, 2009 after a brief stay in Hospice Community Care in Wilkes-Barre. She is survived by her husband, John Stefanelli. The couple would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on March 30.
Born in Pittston, on August 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Frushon Musto. She was educated in Pittston Schools. Prior to retirement, she was a floor lady at several local dress factories. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Exeter.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Musto, and sisters Marie Dieso, Ida Arace and Julia Ditchett.
She is also survived by her children, Louis C. Stefanelli Sr., Taylor, and Patricia Pepe and husband David, West Pittston; four grandchildren, David J. Pepe and wife Audrey, Coopersburg; Louis C. Stefanelli Jr. and wife Debbie, Taylor; Jeffrey Pepe and wife Kelly, West Pittston; and Marc Stefanelli and wife Melanie, Avoca, nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 18 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. Entombment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
