That would be Jimmy Buffett, who passed away Sept. 1, 2023, at the age of 76 of complications from Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare skin cancer that was diagnosed back in 2019. It brought an end to the annual ritual of the not-so-mythical Margaritaville that legions of Parrotheads flocked to on an annual basis, to have a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" and some "Boat Drinks" and flash their "Fins" to the left and right.
