Jimmy Kimmel Previews ‘Season Two’ of Trump’s ‘Celebrity Appresident’

A week after convicted felon Donald Trump won a second presidential term in the White House, the twice-impeached former president has already announced several key administration appointments and nominations.

On Tuesday, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel took aim at the loyalists Trump has chosen to staff the White House and his Cabinet, from tapping South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to head the Department of Homeland Security to picking Fox News personality Pete Hegseth to serve as his secretary of defense.

"We're starting to get more of a sense of what Season Two of the Celebrity Appresident might look like," said Kimmel. "According to his new chief of staff, Susie Wiles, Trump plans to issue a number of executive orders on day one: He wants four Big Macs, six large fries, two buckets of KFC," the comic joked, before noting: "In addition, he wants to put executive orders eliminating immigration and in his ongoing fight against the climate."

Kimmel also took a jab at Elon Musk, who Trump announced Tuesday would lead a new " Department of Government Efficiency " (DOGE) alongside Vivek Ramaswamy.

"[Musk's] basically moved into Mar-a-Lago," Kimmel said before rolling a clip of the Tesla CEO being invited to take a photo with the Trump family at Mar-a-Lago. "Melania was not in the photo, Elon was," the late-night host pointed out. "Melania, you see what you get for a hundred million dollars?"

Elsewhere, Kimmel highlighted Trump's choice to entrust Noem with heading the Department of Homeland Security, which will be tasked with carrying out the president-elect's extremist immigration agenda. Earlier this year, Noem received backlash after bragging in her memoir about shooting and killing a pet puppy she found "untrainable." The comedian quipped Trump's choice would be responsible for keeping "our nation safe from unruly labradoodles"

"One of [Trump's] main messages during the campaign was about killing the pets: 'They're eating the dogs! They're eating the cats!'" Kimmel continued, referencing Trump's false claims about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio. "He goes out and hires the woman who shot her puppy. Kristi Noem shouldn't be in charge of a Pet Smart, let alone Homeland Security."

Kimmel also pondered that after Trump tapped Hegseth, "a guy on the Fox & Friends Weekend Edition," to be Secretary of Defense, "Hulk Hogan must be devastated." Trending Stories

Before wrapping the monologue, Kimmel took a short walk down memory lane and rolled footage of the 2016 GOP primaries that saw the Florida senator and Trump fling verbal insults. In response to Trump calling Rubio " little Marco ," the senator called Trump a "con artist" and said that he has "small hands" at the time.

On Tuesday, Trump said that he plans to choose Rubio as his secretary of state. "It's vintage Trump. You call somebody an idiot until they kneel down, and then you take them into your arms and you pray to him like a baby," said Kimmel.
