Johanne Veerman 2024 WITB: All You Need to Know About the DP World Tour Pro’s Golfing Gear

Johannes Veerman was born in Orange County, California, but over the years, he's traveled around, mostly to Asia and England. At the age of 9, when he first watched the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth, Veerman decided to become a professional golfer. And he did in 2015, but only after five years he got the chance to play on the DP World Tour. A year later, Veerman won the D + D Real Czech Masters in 2021.

However, since then, the 32-year-old has failed to follow through with a second victory, but at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, it seems that a second DP World Tour title might be close. So what's in his bag for a potential second career win? For most of his professional career, Veerman has been a PING staff golfer and uses a full bag, including his hat sponsored by the equipment brand.

Well. the first thing in a golfer's bag is the driver, and Veerman chose the G430 LST Driver, which is used by dozens of golfers including the 2026 Ryder Cup captain, Keegan Bradley . The 32-year-old has it equipped with a 9° loft and the Mitsubishi Tensei 1K White XT 70TX shaft. The driver is many pros' favorite because it offers a longer drive distance, yet with optimum speed. The club retails for $579.99 at the PGA Tour SuperStore.

For the Fairway Woods, Veerman carries two in his bag, G430 MAX Fairway 3-Wood with 15° loft and 5-Wood with 18° loft. He uses the same shaft as the driver for his fairway woods. It comes with an adjustment hosel for finer settings and enabling better shots. Just like the driver, the MAX woods allow even the players with slow speed to hit high-launched shots and generate reduced spin. Both woods go for $349.99 but with a discount, you can get it for as low as $270.

What are the wedges, irons, and putter Johannes Veerman uses? Johanne Veerman has made his iron set by using an i230 3-Iron and for the others, the 1-time DP World Tour winner has the PING Blueprint S Irons (4-PW). The i230 3-iron has an activated elastomer insert which provides the golfer with lowered CG, achieving better distance. The Blueprint S iron, on the other hand, has better trajectory control and a Precision-Pocket Forging which offers more forgiveness on missed shots. The former sells for around $200 while the Blueprint retails at $1,699.99 for a full set.

When it comes to the wedges, Veerman's choice is the s159 Wedges 50°S, 54°S, and 60°S with KBS C Taper 130 X. The precisely milled grooves on these deliver for optimum launch and the S grind wedges offer fuller greenside shots. The wedges cost $197 for steel and $212 for graphite.

Lastly, the one club that will come in handy for Veerman to win his second career win is the PING Sigma 2 Putter with 3° loft and 20° lie. The putter is better for those golfers who prefer a softer face, but it doesn't mean that it isn't helpful in making those crucial putts. With an adjustable-length shaft, the pro can make it fit precisely for the shots and use it to the fullest. But unfortunately, PING has stopped the retailing of these putters. With these exceptional clubs, will Johanne Veerman successfully win a title after nearly 3 years of winless seasons? It remains to be seen.
