Jude Law and Jurnee Smollett looked thrilled to be reunited as they spoke at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The actor, 51, and the actress, 38, took to the stage at The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists ahead of the release of their new thriller and crime movie, The Order.

Jude, who portrays washed up FBI agent Terry Husk in the movie, cut a smart figure for the event as he donned a beige cardigan, grey trousers and brown shoes.

While Jurnee, who plays Joanne Carney, showed off her amazing figure in a plunging red midi dress which she teaned with towering black heels.

The Holiday star and Eve's Bayou actress were all smiles as they hugged each other on the red carpet before posing for photos.

The pair were joined by co-star Nicholas Hoult, 34, who dress cool as he tucked a black and white striped rugby style shirt in a pair of black trousers.

The Warm Bodies actor, who portrays Bob Mathews in the thriller, beamed as the trio posed for photos together.

The stars of The Order, which will be release on December 6, were interviewed by reporter Scott Feinberg.

Jude's performance as the agent who goes up against real-life white supremacist group The Order, received a seven-minute standing ovation at a screening earlier this month during the Zurich Film Festival.

The heartthrob said of his character: 'There was a sort of lived-in quality to him that I enjoyed.

'There was a lot of discussion about facial hair, but every agent I interviewed had a moustache, so it was just a given that I had to grow one.'

The Order is based on the 1989 biography The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt.

It was written by Zach Baylin and distributed by Prime Video (though Amazon MGM Studios).

Though a Prime Video film, Vertical acquired partial rights to the film, and will release it on December 6, 2024, in a limited theatrical release.

The synopsis reads: 'A series of bank robberies and car heists frightened communities in the Pacific Northwest.

'A lone FBI agent believes that the crimes were not the work of financially motivated criminals, but rather a group of dangerous domestic terrorists.'

At The Order's Venice Film Festival press conference, Jude spoke about the importance of the film at a time when far-right ideologies are rising again.

'Sadly, the relevance speaks for itself,' he said. 'It felt like a piece of work that needed to be made now.

'It's always interesting finding a piece from the past that has some relevant relationship to the present day."

Director Justin agreed with Jude, adding that the film's parallels with today's world were what made it so interesting to make.

It's always an extraordinary thing when you find a piece of writing or event from the past that has some sort of perspective that can have a conversation with today's politics.

'That's a rare gem. So, we felt that there was a lot that was being said about today.'
